Often times students are confused after being sent out of class. While they have an idea of what happened, they were at times doing something that they thought the teacher would enjoy. To the educator this can be seen as the student just not following the rules of the classroom, there is more at the heart of the issue, social skills that have not been mastered and needs that are going unmet. It is important to remember that the student needs to have these needs met and come up with an appropriate avenue to get these needs met. This means it is important for us to teach how to have these needs met and how to have fun while learning. Students will have fun, it is simply dependent on if we are teaching them how to have fun in the appropriate way or a way that is disruptive to class.
Why are you mad at me!?

Welcome to Mr White's Website. This site will feature information relevant to Mr White's Classroom and useful information for students, parents, and fellow educators. Mr White's educational career began in 1991 when he was in the fifth grade. His class participated in a book-buddies project with a first grade class and he became hooked on the educational process. One comment from the first grade teacher (who noticed him reading upside down, so the student could see the picture) made a huge transformation in his life. Mr White's educational career has taken him many places, he has had experiences ranging from being responsible for high school student's living in college dorms, teaching students with challenging behaviors, assisting students in overcoming behavioral difficulties, and . He has worked hard to assist students from a disadvantaged background to actualize success in life. It is both challenging and humbling work, however, it is highly rewarding.
