How do you respond when you don’t get what you want? We all react very differently when we don’t get the things we want, but it is important to reflect on these experiences. But, how can we model for students what to do when they don’t get what they want? Following the experiences that we have we should have the opportunity to overcome and move forward. But, this is challenging for educators, especially when we are faced with poor attitudes in the classroom. How do you respond?

Mr White's educational career began in 1991 when he was in the fifth grade. His class participated in a book-buddies project with a first grade class and he became hooked on the educational process. One comment from the first grade teacher (who noticed him reading upside down, so the student could see the picture) made a huge transformation in his life. Mr White's educational career has taken him many places, he has had experiences ranging from being responsible for high school student's living in college dorms, teaching students with challenging behaviors, assisting students in overcoming behavioral difficulties, and . He has worked hard to assist students from a disadvantaged background to actualize success in life. It is both challenging and humbling work, however, it is highly rewarding.
