About Mr White

Welcome to Mr White’s Classroom Blog/Website. This site features information relevant to Mr White’s Classroom and useful information for students, parents, and fellow educators. Mr White’s educational career began in 1991 when he was in the fifth grade. His class participated in a book-buddies project with a first grade class and he became hooked on the educational process. One comment from the first grade teacher (who noticed him reading upside down, so the student could see the picture) made a huge transformation in his life.

Mr White’s pursuits have taken him many places, he has had experiences ranging from being responsible for high school student’s living in college dorms, teaching students with challenging behaviors, assisting students in overcoming behavioral difficulties, and he has worked hard to assist students from a disadvantaged background to actualize success in life. It is both challenging and humbling work, however, it is highly rewarding.

Currently, Mr White is teaching 7th Grade Current World Events. He has been working on differentiating delivery models to assist in the success of all students. Mr White is excited about ending the year by utilizing the Socratic Seminar Methodology.

Mr White is currently taking coursework through Viterbo University to become licensed as a Principal. This process has not only assisted him in becoming more informed about the role of a principal, but has made him a much better educator!
